Together with Meiré und Meiré I was able to design the architectural and graphical concept for this years Telekom booth. In today’s fast-moving world, building strong and lasting connections can be a challenge. As a leading telecommunications brand, Deutsche Telekom is taking on this challenge by creating solutions that aim to bridge the distances between global communities.
In line with Deutsche Telekom’s new brand claim ‘Connecting your World’, Meiré und Meiré created the concept and design for the company’s trade fair stand at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in 2024. The design translated the ideas of progressive digitalisation into a futuristic, yet accessible analogue experience. With Telekom as the primary broadcaster of the UEFA Euro 2024™, popular event served as a backdrop for the design process, interweaving the special power of football to bring people together.

The open and welcoming architecture was based on circular shapes, emphasising unity, inclusivity and continuous movement. An arena-style seating area, along with floodlights and flags, provided a further link to the popular sport, acting as a private and distinct space to watch the various panel talks and performances. In addition, an interactive centerpiece with a virtual goal-shooting wall attracted a large crowd of football enthusiasts.
Furniture made from natural elements such as wood contrasted with the smooth surfaces of the ubiquitous technology, creating a warm atmosphere that invited visitors to linger. Another focus was minimising the carbon footprint through the use of recycled materials and plants from local suppliers. With its unique and distinctive concept, the Telekom stand offered a holistic and compelling experience of what tomorrow’s technology is capable of.
